FOSTER CARE
Home
Meth use is devastating to families.  It has been reported that up to 90% of families involved with Child Protective Services (CPS) is due to meth/substance abuse.  The necessary removal of children from their homes has placed a large burden on the Foster Care system.
CHILDREN BELONG IN SAFE HOMES  PREFERABLY THEIR OWN

These families need the help of foster parents to care for their children.

Sometimes parents can't keep their children safe.  Many times substance abuse is a contributing factor.
Foster care parents come in all shapes and sizes.  Some are single and some are married.  Some are parents with children at home and others are empty nesters whom have raised their families.  Foster parents lie in cities, suburbs, and rural communities. Some provide care to children for a few days as needed or on the weekends.  Other foster parents do it for weeks or months, while the child's parents remedy the circumstances that caused the children to leave their families.  Some children may never be able to return home and they need a permanent family to love and care for them through adoption.
Feel free to contact the following agencies that provide Foster Care Licensing services and support and Adoptive Certification services in Cochise, Graham, Greenlee, and Santa Cruz counties.  They will answer your questions and help you in anyway necessary.
